The minimal landscape paintings of Georgia artist, Victoria Jackson, produce places of calm through her
use of color and uncomplicated forms.
Having her mother and grandmother as artists, Victoria’s passion for creating was fostered from an early
age. Painting throughout her childhood paved the way for her more serious work.
In the past several years, due to some life altering events, Victoria has focused her attention on spacious
landscapes. Drawing inspiration on her travels through Europe, she uses simplified shapes and muted hues
to bring forth the sense of tranquility and creates an emotional bond with the land. They are places where one
can have a respite from the chaos of life, a place to replenish the spirit.
Victoria has studied with many influential artists including Robert Meredith, Joan Hilliard and Ann Jackson.
These artists have provided her with an array of knowledge and encouragement.
Victoria’s work is collected throughout the southeast and is in many corporate collections. Collectors enjoy the
energy in her skies and the stillness of the countryside.
“ When a painting has turned out well, it has become an emotional experience. I not only see the landscape,
I feel it. “ – Victoria Jackson
